Profile,

Whatever its time or place, the well-designed garden should exemplify proportion, be appropriate to its site, show sensitivity to materials and display horticultural prowess. Today it must also be ecologically aware and sustainable. Above all, it must give pleasure. A garden is an experience to be enjoyed by the whole range of human senses; its appeal is universal and its attractions and guises infinite.

As well as reflecting the philosophical and psychological values that we regard as essential to the modern age, it must follow the mantra ‘form is function’, combining in its aesthetic both style and substance. The aim of contemporary garden design is not simply to create attractive external spaces around a building but to integrate the building with its setting in terms of appearance, function and spirit, and to combine those objectives with sustainable, holistic design values. *

Harveyjenkin Landscapes applies creative and original designs for residential landscapes to commercial spaces. Our recent experience through commercial design has been global. Through University the Landscape Architects of Harveyjenkin Landscapes have been the top marked students, these are Andrew Harvey, Richard Traenor and Julian Adeley. Two of our Landscape Architects have been nominated for the Hassel award of excellence where only four got chosen from Western Australia.
